Not about the pedotranny (although using one word to describe BOTH Crankies is a little unconventional). <BR/><BR/>No, my comment is on the use of the semi-colon and the colon. The colon is used "in order to introduce one or more directly related ideas" whereas the semicolon is reserved "to join related independent clauses in compound sentences".
